Meriette Saglie is a concert pianist, educator, and the CEO/President of Los Angeles Classical Music Inc. (LACM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to amplifying the careers of professional classical concert artists in Los Angeles. A prize-winning solo and chamber concert pianist, she has performed on stages across Asia, Europe, South America, and the United States. As an active performer in her home city of Los Angeles, Ms. Saglie contributes to LA’s vibrant cultural community through her philanthropic work—performing in benefit concerts for the non profits associations such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and engaging with other aligned not for profit organizations to provide mission driven support.
From 2022 to 2024, she served on the Musician Council and Musician Board of Groupmuse, a musician- and worker-owned cooperative that curates intimate, community-centered concerts in living rooms and nontraditional spaces across the country. In 2022, under the fiscal sponsorship of the Groupmuse Foundation 501c3, Ms. Saglie co-founded WineMusic LA, an immersive concert and wine-tasting series that uniquely blends classical performance and oenology for a multisensory interactive experience. By 2024, WineMusic would branch off to become the launching platform of Los Angeles Classical Music Inc.’s “Immersive Listening Experience” program, being the organization's cornerstone series. Its official launch at Steinway Gallery of Beverly Hills marked LACM’s first corporate partnership, establishing a sustainable model for concert programming while serving as the organization’s leading revenue-generating and brand-building platform. That same year, Ms. Saglie was honored by Beverly Hills Living Magazine as one of its Forty Under 40, recognized as one of the city’s bold cultural visionaries for her early stage innovation work with WineMusic. LACM’s first civic cultural partnership was with the City of Beverly Hills, presenting WineMusic at Greystone, a holiday concert at the historic Greystone Mansion, featured in the City’s Winter Community Services program.
In 2025, Ms. Saglie launched World Music Day, the inaugural edition of what is set to continue as an annual global music festival presented by LACM on June 21st. Celebrating diverse musical storytelling from around the world, the event also served as the launch of LACM’s Artist Roster Program, which welcomed its first cohort of 12 professional concert artists—a major milestone in furthering the organization’s mission to support and elevate both emerging and established performers through intentional programming and curated performance opportunities. Later that year, she participated in a cultural exchange and performance.
Later that year, she participated in a cultural exchange and performance residency in Chile at the Universidad de las Américas, where she lectured and performed as part of an international collaboration in music education. The residency featured the debut of “Saglie Plays Saglie”, a solo piano program featuring works composed by her brother and Chilean composer Luis Saglie, spotlighting contemporary Chilean voices in classical music through a deeply personal and familial lens.
Since 2007, Ms. Saglie has operated The Piano Studio of Meriette Saglie, a home-based private piano instruction studio based in the City of Beverly Hills. Ms. Saglie earned her Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Piano Performance from the USC Thornton School of Music, where she studied under renowned pedagogue Professor Daniel Pollack. During her doctoral studies, she also minored in chamber music, music theory, and conducting, and served as a teaching assistant for the Secondary Piano Department throughout her graduate tenure.
Born of Chilean parents in the Los Angeles, California and having studied, performed, and competed internationally from an early age, Ms. Saglie brings a global perspective to the performing arts, music education, and the classical music workforce. Her mission remains rooted in redefining career sustainability for classical musicians and expanding the reach of classical music through transformative, community-focused experiences that resonate across current-diverse multigenerational audiences.
Meriette Saglie is the Founder and Artistic Director of the WineMusic concert series. Her vision is to create an interactive concert-going experience that encourages audiences to explore and create their own personable connection through the unique and effective pairing of music and wine.
