Meriette Saglie is an American-Chilean concert pianist, educator, and the CEO/President of Los Angeles Classical Music Inc. (LACM), a nonprofit supporting professional classical performers. has performed on stages worldwide, including the United States, Chile, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain and Japan. Her accomplishments include performances at the LACMA Bing Theater in Los Angeles, California and the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, Austria. The National Austrian Radio: ORF (Österreichischer Rundfunk) in Vienna, Austria also invited her to take part in a live broadcast performance and symposium with famed pianist Vladimir Ashkenazy.
As a 2023 Beverly Hills Living Magazine Forty Under 40 honoree, Dr. Saglie actively contributes to Los Angeles' cultural community through philanthropic performances, including concerts for the LA Philharmonic, and by organizing intimate concerts through her role as Groupmuse Council Member and Musician Board Member. A dedicated educator, she runs a private piano studio in Los Angeles where her teaching approach is shaped by her globally enriched artistic and career experiences. She has served as a guest adjudicator for competitions and featured lecturer for the Tonebase piano community among other prestigious organizations.
In 2022, she co-founded WineMusic, an immersive concert and wine-tasting series that, by 2024, evolved into LACM's premier LACM's premier fundraising product and concert program series. As the artistic director of WineMusic, Meriette Saglie works closely with the performers, venues and wine experts to create an immersive experience with music performance as the forefront that engages the senses of individuals of all walks of life . Each event is a listening experience that strives to create an atmosphere that is both elegant, relaxed and engaging.
Meriette Saglie Saglie earned her BM, MM, and DMA from USC under Daniel Pollack and benefited from an international musical upbringing. She studied in Vienna at the University of Music’s pre-college program and later at the University of Chile’s Music Conservatory. Her mentors include Vitaly Margulis, Oleg Malov, Stefan Vladar, Alfredo Perl, Claudio Martinez Mehner, Kevin Fitz-Gerald, and Svetlana Navassardyan.
Passionate about merging her artistic background with philanthropy, Dr. Saglie strives to transform the classical performing arts work industry, through long-term sustainable strategies that effectively integrate it into Los Angeles' contemporary workforce and pop culture.
Meriette Saglie is the Founder and Artistic Director of the WineMusic concert series. Her vision is to create an interactive concert-going experience that encourages audiences to explore and create their own personable connection through the unique and effective pairing of music and wine.
